cliff fall help

My friend and I are having a despute, to show another friend falling off a cliff, he wants to use a green-screen and After Effects. I want to use a good old fashoned dummy, which one do you guy think would look better?

Both, Use the dummmy for some far away shots and use a green screen to show like up close of the person as they fall, with wind and all. I think i might go and try that just for the fun of it...but we don't have any cliffs here in mid-america.

In your case the dummy might work best.
If you use a green screen you have to somehow have some background action of falling down the cliff.
1. You'll shoot yourself falling on a mat or something against the green screen.
2. The background shot will be the camera going down the cliff or something similar in replacement of going down the cliff. This will be the shot you super-impose.

Just watched Die Hard
I think they use both

Green Screen - (or floor) falling down from camera

Dummy - long shot of fall.
Make sure the dummy isn't a Goodies one, with all floppy arms

there is a cliff fall in bad taste.
They used a dummy, but the dummy is in quite a strange pose, its crouching down with arms bent forward, so it actually rolls down the cliff.
Looks great, and slightly unusual, when cut with the real actor (actual Pete J himself) starting to fall, and then getting back onto his feet.
Do the old lands behind a rock routine. Overlay a scream and yer done.
